Katie and Krysthal first met over the tiles at their local mahjong club (the Coronado Mahjong Club) and quickly bonded over their shared love of the game — and the laughter that comes with it.
As native San Diegans, they wanted to share that same sense of community and connection with others, bringing the magic of Mahjong to living rooms, backyards, and all across the county. Together, they founded Finest City Mahjong to make the game approachable, social, and fun for everyone — from first-timers to seasoned players.
Their teaching style blends patience, playfulness, and a genuine love for helping people discover why mahjong has been bringing friends together for generations.
